About our school

A Warm Welcome

Dunraven055.jpg

We are proud to lead Dunraven, a 4-18, All Through School. This structure offers our children - and their families - a unique educational opportunity as well as the chance for the school to create an exciting and enriched learning experience for all its students. Our primary team are very excited to be working with our children and look forward to seeing them develop and grow as learners. In our Secondary phase, we will continue to work hard to ensure that we build successfully on those excellent foundations all the way to A level and the life beyond school.

Our Aim

What are we striving to achieve at Dunraven School?

The school's aim is 'Excellence for All' and we are at an exciting stage of our development. Our results continue to improve, remaining well above national averages and representing positive 'value added'. Recognition of our marked progress over the past 10 years has been significant and in February 2011 we were designated as both a National Support School and a Leading Edge School. We become a 4-19 all through school in September 2013

Why Work for us?

A great place to work

The visit of OFSTED in October 2014 judged Dunraven as ‘outstanding’ in every category making us one of a handful of schools nationally to receive such an accolade.  Such an outcome is the result of the hard work of our staff and students – supported by their families – over time.  Our next challenge is to ensure that Dunraven maintains these high standards as we aim to become an ‘astounding’ school and really deliver ‘excellence for all’ from Reception all the way through to Year 13.   We were delighted to hear that we have been designated as a National Teaching School in March 2016.

Dunraven is an All Through School.  The primary phase will develop year by year beginning with the two forms of reception children who joined the school in September 2013. This offers the children - and their families - a unique educational opportunity as well as the chance for the school to create an exciting and enriched learning experience for all its students.

If you are successful in your application, you will join a staff who are hard working, committed, positive in outlook and dedicated to the achievement of our students. We offer a supportive and collegiate professional environment in which you can grow as an effective teacher.
